The main components of most car tire materials are natural rubber or synthetic rubber. Natural rubber has superior comprehensive performance compared to synthetic rubber, so high-end tires often use natural rubber. In order to give rubber the performance required for tire manufacturing, it is necessary to infiltrate different chemical materials, namely chemical additives, into the rubber.

One of the important additives added is carbon black, because carbon has special adsorption properties, and the bonding between carbon particles and rubber molecules is very good, which enhances the hardness, strength, and wear resistance of rubber. Due to the fact that carbon black and rubber are essentially equal, the main material used for car tires is actually a composite material of rubber and carbon black.

Tires can be classified into approximately 8 types based on the type of vehicle. Namely: PC - Car tires; LT - Light duty truck tires; TB - Cargo truck and bus tires; AG - agricultural vehicle tires; OTR - Engineering vehicle tires; ID - Industrial vehicle tire; AC - Aircraft tires; MC - Motorcycle tires.
